Hello, My name is Greg Kuppinger, I have worked for the past ten years as a professional oil painter. Upon completion of my Fine Arts degree, I moved to New York City officially beginning my career as a "starving artist". Along with exhibiting my work in the city I secured a position as a studio painter for Mark Kostabi, a leading figure in the East Village art movement of the 80’s. As a studio painter I created original oil paintings based on the artists designs. While working with Kostabi, I felt the need to diversify my experiences and became an intern for Douglas Davis, a multimedia and performance artist.

In the fall of 2001, I decided to move back upstate to concentrate on the developement of my own body of work. While working on several series of paintings I began to realize that I was spending more and more time on the computer laying out compositions in Photoshop than I was creating actual paintings. With an increasing love for design and an increasing dislike of "starvation" I decided to take some course work in graphic and web design. This is the first, of probably many, version of my portfolio.
